Lately...For you Grandma C

I am behind on posting! Here is Sammy and I on Halloween...he was one cute astronaut!

We were lucky to have Auntie Snootes here for Halloween, the boys still ask about her, they were big fans!

Sam was blowing us away in this picture

Just a boy and his Aunt

Coop was also an astronaut, his choice, and he and Sam held hands for Cooper's school parade

And an obligatory action shot, Trick-or-Treating at our neighbors house

Mom had the brilliant idea to get haircuts for the boys, Coop was a champ...

Sammy, well, not so much.  His eyes are swollen from crying so much!

The boys and I also decided to spend a nice Saturday at the Capitol and the Botanic Gardens here in DC

It was a beautiful, windy day...

On the tree bridge at the Botanic Gardens

Going through the tunnel

And many an afternoon has been spent raking leaves.  I bought 3 rakes, and for some reason, I am the only one using them for raking...

They LOVE running through the piles!

Chicago

Traveling with 2 boys was surprisingly a little easier than I thought...just 2 meltdowns(and not even bad ones) on the plane care of Sammy.

They LOVED the airplane ride...it was even delayed an hour but my boys did well.

And we began the fun right away...the farm with Grandma Judies and cousins.

Sam and Anna were fast friends and Sam was not happy when she had to leave his presence.  He would ask for more Nanna!  So sweet!

How could he not...look at this cutie!

Cooper feeding the hungry parakeets at Santa's Village.  He had so much fun there!

The Brookfield Zoo was another hit, we had many adventures!

Building with Grandma

Watching some horsies

And an impromptu birthday celebration for Sammy and Grandma Judies...we made the cake thinking we would use it for the next day but the boys had other plans...Chocolate cake, fresh chocolate cake can not wait!

Sam lovin' on the sheep

Ry riding the horse

Jack, too!

Coop's turn

Even Sammy and Nanna got in on the action!  What a wonderful trip!

Getting ready for Halloween

Brotherly love before we head to the Pumpkin Farm

Sam was loving the haystacks

Riding the tractor like a boss

It was not all hugs and laughter today though...Sam just after Cooper accidentally stepped on his hand

Cooper's favorite was the hayride

Sam chose his pumpkin

And we added a few more!

Hard to get both boys smiling these days for the same picture

And frosting cookies with friends

More fire truck action at Brother Bear's school

Going in for the kill

Nailed it

What can he say, he learned from the best!

Two of these things are not like the other...

Updates...

It has been a long time since my last post!  (sorry mom!)  We went to the National Mall for the Book Festival.  Coop and Sam met some of their favorite Super Why characters.

Sam, just looking so cute.

There is a great chalkboard wall in Old Town Alexandria that the boys found.

We spent one Saturday in September celebrating National Down Syndrome Month for a Buddy Walk.  Our favorite friends Ian and Natalie were there.  Coop walked holding hands with Ian the whole mile.

All of our friends

Team Natitude!

During our walk...

And after our walk, we met Elmo!  Boys loved him!

Held hands on the way home from the walk

Coop enjoyed the bouncey houses!

And we ended our day with a trip in the fire truck!  A fun Saturday for us all!
