Wow, what a great weekend we had! We felt very adventurous as we packed up our little man and headed up North. We spent Friday at Muir Woods just north of San Francisco with a quick photo stop at the Golden Gate Bridge and then on to Muir Woods. It was beautiful! The Redwoods were so unbelievable and we were in awe as we spent the afternoon hiking and entertaining our boy. Cooper did amazing in his baby carrier and we were amazed at how much bigger he looked in it and how much more in control of his body he was.
Here he is taking in the sites with daddy and mommy.
We then took off to Yosemite for camping....so much fun! We had a great time, learned a lot about camping with a little guy and made plans for visiting as many National Parks as possible in the next year. We are definitely going to take this kid on more camping trips!
The scenery was just amazing and we absolutely loved being in nature sharing it with each other and with Cooper. We know he will not remember it, but we have tons of pictures that will document his time there. And you know we are very serious about taking pictures (280 to be exact!).
Our favorite parts:
-Cooper in his 'Max' outfit sitting by the fire
-Watching Cooper take in sites like Giant Redwood and Sequoia trees
-Cooper deciding to wait until day 2 of our camping to poop THREE times before noon
-being with family and just loving it
-May Lake in Yosemite
-the beauty of Yosemite and how it looked as if the mountains were just cut away, enough to allow the beauty of this place to be preserved and appreciated
-SMORES (I love 'em)
