End of the Summer Fun

Turns out there is a cupcake shop right next to the library!  Who knew?!?!

The National Zoo is a great place because we have been there at least 7 times this summer but managed to find a new spot to view the seals

And we caught a local train show last week...I was so sad this was blurry, Coop on the train ride

And a local park we like to visit to play soccer and watch boats

Summer Fun!

It is hot here all the time but the morning is when it is somewhat cool so we take full advantage of it.  Coop climbing trees in his PJ's.

Coop, Sam and I packed up one Monday morning and went to Great Falls, MD to see a beautiful park.  After a quick lunch we set out to hike and explore.

Later on in the week we went to Yards Park here in Va.  It was packed with adventure.  There was a huge bridge that the boys could walk/run on.

And the highlight, a wading pool.  The water only came up to maybe the top of Sam's waist so it was perfect!

And we ended the week with the Arlington County Fair

We ended the day cooling off with the hose!

What we are up to

Coop and Sam have a new friend (mom too!) and we love that they all get along!

Grandpa Kevin came to visit and we again put him right to work...no rest even after a long drive!

Lately

We found a great little Wisconsin custard shop that is a city bus ride away from us...which translates to a nice morning adventure with my boys.  In addition, Auntie Snootes also joined us last week!  We love visitors!

We spent one of our days at the Georgetown Waterfront Park, it was hot and it was perfect!
